| Any neat ER Nursing Tricks to tell about? Just curious what other ER Nurses can share. Something I learned no too long ago with application of L.E.T., the topical anesthetic we apply to kid's cuts. I used to soak a 2x2 and place it on the cut and cover it with tegaderm. Another Staff Doc showed me a way to thicken it with a little surgilube and then apply it on a cut without having to used a 2x2. L.E.T. runs off cuts pretty easily. Without something to hold it in place. |

| Re: Any neat ER Nursing Tricks to tell about? Best way to put a 32fr gastric lavage tube down is to pinch the face below the tm joint. It gives a short window of opportunity to place the tube before the patient gets loose from the other nurses restraining the patient and hits you. |
