Welcome to UltimateNurse! We appreciate your dropping by. As with any site, there are a few rules which we’d like to share with you.

Forum Rules

1. Please do not include your e-mail address in your posts OR user name to protect your security and identity. Also do not post offline personal contact information (i.e. your home address, phone numbers, etc.) on the Forum.
   
   You can set your user options to receive secure e-mails through the site, if you so wish, by modifying your member profile and e-mail options in the Control Panel at the top left corner of the forum.
   
   
2. No use of explicit, obscene or vulgar language or images and/or messages, including racist remarks.
   
   
3. We can all learn from one another, and difference of opinion is allowed. However, let’s keep it civilized: No attacking, insulting, "flaming", or other abuse of fellow members, as this will result in infractions, Moderation, temporary Banning, or permanent Banning.
   
   
4. No "Spam" is permitted! Spam is defined as posting a link for the purpose of selling, soliciting or promoting by someone that has ownership or other "vested interest" to the web site involved, including efforts to promote other online forums or web sites by web site owners.

   If you are a web site owner and have a link that fits into this category that you want to share, please submit it to the Head Administrator, Aaron C. and he will review your submission.
   
   

   Links to helpful web sites (commercial or otherwise) are allowed when they are posted by someone without any "vested interest" AND whose purpose is NOT to solicit, advertise, promote, fund raise, etc

   
   
   
5. No SHOUTING. Remember, using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling and rude; plus it is difficult to read. Proper Netiquette is required on this forum.
   
   
6. No use of multiple user names. Please register and use only one username for the forums. Posting under multiple user accounts will result in administrative action (i.e. banning).

7. Another note on user names: If you are NOT a nurse yet (i.e, student), please do not use the title in your name. Example: XYZRN.
   
   
8. Don't hesitate to post, but please check that there aren't any threads already open on the same subject!
   
   
9. Answers given in the Medical Advisor section are ONLY for informational purposes. We do strongly encourage you to seek care from your PCP!
   
   
10. Failure to abide with the above rules may result in infractions, temporary bans or even permanent bans. Final decision is at the discretion of Administration, Moderators and Super Moderators.

Chat Room Rules


Alright guys, the admins/mods here at UltimateNurse thought our users might like to have a chat room; so last night we implemented one. There is no need to register another account, the chatroom will work based on your forum login credentials. To join the chat, simply click "Chat Room" in the Navbar or in the "Quick Links" folder. The chat window will pop up. While we understand that a live chat can be fun, we feel it necessary to lay down a few ground rules about the chat room in order to keep our site family friendly.

1. Profanity, Vulgarity, and Adult Content in the rooms or PM's are unacceptable. This will get you banned immediately.
   
   
2. Solicitation is not allowed in this chatroom or anywhere else on the forum other than the "Blatant, Unremorseful Spam" thread. Failure to comply will get you banned from chat as well as the forum.
   
   
3. Exhanging email addresses and instant messenger names is ok. However, in the interest of your security, we would prefer that you not exchange personal information such as phone numbers or home addresses in the chatroom.
   
   
4. Flaming other users, sites, companies WILL NOT be tolerated and will result in immediate ban. Remember, complaining and flaming are not the same thing. There is a difference.

That's it for now. We have implemented a series of artificial intellegence chatbots that sit in the shadows of the rooms monitoring for vulgar language and solicitation. These bots do have the ability to ban by themselves with no need for interaction from the administrators/mods. You have been warned.
