get good references and impress with the willingness to learn. You know the nursing process which is a plus. Usually L&D wants some experience but it would depend on who the competition is for the job. Our unit hired a couple of new grads over the past couple of years and the other new hires over the last 2 years had come from M/S with 5 yrs experience there. They all do fine.
