| Overtime Law Hey, new to the forum. I'm almost done with prereqs for nursing school and I noticed this Overtime Law pushed by Bush, passed by the Senate after several attempts. Bush attached it to the 2004 Omnibus Spending Bill in order to get it through. Here is a list of the Senators that voted for and against the OSB which contained the OL: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LI...amp;vote=00003 Anyway, the question is: How has this affected nursing from an RN's perspective? Are hospitals making RN's work extra hours for free? How about pool or registry nurses; are they being required to work extra time for free? Any info would be great, thx. |
