That's probably what it will be when all the union nurses have priced themselves right out of a job. Similiar to most every other union worker in the past fifty years. Auto,manufacturing,airtraffic controllers, etc.

And if you don't think it can happen, you've buried your head in the sand. Just look at the foreign nurses. The Phillipine thingy was just a blip on the radar.

And nursing can be outsourced. Many patients are going overseas to Thailand etc. Getting cheaper, better care. The hospitals are run by American, Canadian etc docs. And JCAHO too boot. Isn't that how Detroit lost it's manufacturing/auto base. The companies set up shop elsewhere. American, Canadian etc docs and JCAHO are doing the same thing. American nurses need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Many patients are going to Mexico. And what about the border states citizens getting their drugs from Canada or on the internet for that matter.

What you don't seem to understand is that the "suits" are never gonna give up their money. They WIll find a way to keep going and it will be on the backs of the nurses.

The way to get better pay,staffing ratios,adequate staffing is to get rid of the "fluff" and the "suits" . Hospitals are for nursing care. Nurses should be running them. Do you see waitresses running automobile repair shops.

Nurses need to keep their voices. DON'T GIVE THEM TO ANYONE. Union, suits, docs etc. NURSES KEEP YOUR VOICE.
