Hourly Wages and yearly income

Hi,I am considering becoming a nurse in the near future. My question has to do with hourly wages and yearly income for travel nurses.

How regular is it to get paid $30-45 an hour being a travel nurse?

I also read an article in USA Today about travel nurses making up to $100,000 a year.

Are these figures correct? Would anyone mind sharing their hourly wages and yearly incomes?

I know that $35/hr is not uncommon for my friends to make. When I asked them about it, they reminded me that of that $35, not all of it is taxable. Some of it is paid out as perdiem, some as automobile allowance, some as housing allowance, and so on. One of my friends only makes about $12 taxable on paper!

Hi, I just wanted to say that it is not uncommon to make this amount of money as a travel nurse. You can always call a Recruiter from any company and find out exactly what's in store for you as far as pay. With Winyah Nursing Services, Inc., on average, a nurse claiming single and no dependents on withholding makes approximately $70K per year. Then you factor in the bonuses, free medical, etc. and the number rises. Oh, and that's just 3 shifts a week with no overtime.

That sounds pretty fair. Is there any chance you could pay for my schooling. It is only $30,000.

School is something that we do not pay for. However, continuing education is another topic.
