I am a student in an accelerated BSN program. I have completed my first trimester with very good grades, but unfortunately many of my classmates have failed either one or two of the 3 classes we took. It seems as if the instructors want us to fail. Does anyone else feel like this?

I think we all feel like this at one time or another. Of course the class work is important; perhaps the instructors didn't quite get what thery wanted across during lectures?

Accelerated nursing programs are very demanding. My thought is that your fellow students just didn't do well enough and that's it. I find it hard to imagine that your instructors would prefer that their students fail. Actually, I imagine that they would prefer that their students do well however, not at the expense of rigorous standards. A challenging program is a good program and you shouldn't wish for less.

I agree totally. Accelerated degree programs of any kind are very demanding. People that enroll in these classes have to outweigh the pros and cons of this type of program. Yes, it is designed so a person can accomplish their goals of obtaining their degree much faster but they have to remember if they can not keep up with the rigorous schedule they may end up with failing grades. Anyone who is thinking of this type of a program needs to really consider their options before enrolling. If you can not devote the time needed for this type of a program, you are better off in a traditional program.

It sounds as though you are doing well with your classes. Keep up the good work, I have a good feeling that you will do well and accomplish your goals.
