Had a crappy day....had someone quit without notice at work, then broke a front tooth ont he way home....while biting into an ice cream cone no less....spent 2 hours @ the dentist havign it "temporarily' repaired. My mouth feels like crap, my lip is big (well I had thought about collegen implants, guess this would work instead!!)... anyway...thanks for letting me whine!!!

When I have those days, I just tell myself that it will only make the good days sweeter. It is unfortunate we have to suffer to feel joy, right?

When I have those days, I just walk through ICU and look at the condition of the patients. I know I have it pretty good and deal with what has happened.

To day is the 5th of July. Out patient Dpt is closed and I am on call. Well here I sit. Came in at 0600 to give Vanc. He will be done at 0745. Have to come back at 0900 for a Out Patient surgery, get them ready and I am out of here. Come back at 1300 for another Vanc. Leave at 1500. Come back at 1630 for still another Vanc. leave a 1800. My boss will not let me stay on the clock during my down time, So I STAY HERE for free. My day is shot.

I got low census (my choice) last night so didn't have to do that. I got called from the the girls on the unit about 11pm one of them told me she'd meet me in the parking lot this morning to kick my a.. for taking off the other was mad I took off and left the grouchy nurse who would have taken off if I hadn't working with them. They told me they had plans for last night and I ruined them by taking off.. told them too bad and yep I'd be in the parking lot waiting at 7am....ooops I was still in bed then. When I called about the low census the phone rang and rang they were out on the patio watching the fireworks..only had 3 patients with 3 RNs and a CST working. One good thing about L&D they don't schedule inductions on holidays for the most part. Today will probably be he.. and I'm not there. Going to return books to the library, mail the neice a b-day present cause I'm not going to her party Sat I'm going to the beach. I Work Tues and Wed then off for vacation YIPPY

I'm doing NOTHING!!!! We are going to Cocoa Beach. Me, my husband, 18 & 5 yr olds sons, co-worker (CST) and her grandaughter. I'm going to lay on the beach and read trashy books and then lay by the pool and read trashy books. We might go to NASA, we'll probably run to the Air Force Base for groceries. The kids want to go to Universal but I don't want to go. We've already been to Disney this year and Holiday World (Indiana) Just laying around is for me. We had talked about Silver Springs but the husband doesn't want to do that and talked about Wild Adventures (Valdosta) friend doesn't want to do that so I say fine we do NOTHING.

Opps I feel bad.. OT 52.50/hour.. NON UNION..LOLL...13.5 hours...HMMMMMMMMMMMM let me get out my marbles...
