Bwaaah! Work is giving me a headache!

Ok...I have had it! Work is giving me a headache, and the stress is finally getting to me. I do NOT want to have my GB out, but I fear work is driving me to it.

Guess everything boils down to the lousy survey we had a few weeks ago. NO one wants to have survey, but when they come in on a SUNDAY, and at 4 pm.....doesn't bode well, especially when they have a Federal Surveyor with them, eh?

I hear you, Cat! I see so much of the state surveyors around my area, that they greet me by my first name now when they see me. They seem to follow me from assignment to assignment. As an agency nurse, I always joke (only half-way joking) that I NEVER get to have a good day at work because the only reason a facility calls me is that they are having a survey, getting 10,000 admissions, or some other reason to "beef up" their staffing for a few weeks. I hope you're having a better day now, and your headache and GB have both calmed down.

Hey...why are state and federal employees working at 4pm on a weekend anyway?!

Hah! I don't know about the H/A really going away. The GB shoulda been out a while ago, but I am too much of a 'fink' on getting opened up. Kinda want to leave with everything I have in me type mentality.

'They' are due back shortly, for a follow up visit.

As for coming out on a Sunday, I guess the State will do that on occasion; we were the 'lucky' ones this time....NOT!

Work is still a pain in the tookus. THIS time, DON had left a messege in the log book, and Admin. is not to happy about it, as it is very unprofessional. I'd gone home early anyhow, as I have been slightly ill due to the weather. Am supposed to be off tomorrow, but guess who is due in anytime now? Yep.....'them'. Blah.

At least we can vent somewhere.

Wow!!They came on a Sunday afternoon??!! Bummer. We are getting ready for Survey. The same group comes every year. They all dress in dark grey or black and have a sour look on their faces....like something smells. I don't think their job pays very well. They probably couldn't hack actual patient care.

Ellen, what state are you in? Just curious. And yeah, they showed up on a Sunday WITH a Federal inspector to boot.

I agree with the sour puss look. Have often wondered myself when they last worked the floor. They 'know' the rules, but let's see them put it into practice. OK...just my two cents worth.
