Mercy Nurse earns Credentials

Sherry Cadenhead at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City has become the only registered nurse in Oklahoma with credentials as a multiple sclerosis certified nurse.

"This is an incredible benefit to Oklahomans to have a nurse with MS-specific credentials," said Dr. Gabriel Pardo, a neurologist and neuro-ophthalmologist and medical director of Mercy NeuroScience Institute of MS Center. MS is a disease characterized by the loss of protective tissue around nerve fibers of the brain and spinal cord, affecting 300,000 Americans a year.
