Need some advice, please

I'm 17 years old and a senior in highschool. However, after this fall 07' semester i will be over halfway done with my associates degree at my local community college.I want to pursue a degree in nursing (especially neo-natal and pediatrics). I was just wondering if ya'll could give me any advice on who to talk to, which degree is best, or any useful information you might have. I was also wondering what the difference in a BSN and RN was? The college I was planning on applying to only has a BSN program. Do I have to become an RN before I can become a BSN? Thanks for your help!

Hi, Rachel! Nice to have you with us. As you are getting an associates degree from the Community College, you will have an RN; the BSN is also a nurse, but has more learning to use for management type positions. You can go on from an ADN and complete your BSN later on. And no, you don't need your RN before getting a BSN; I had been an LPN for YEARS before getting my BSN. It was a matter of having too much fun working in my case! Good luck!
