| Help with schooling Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to take this next step. I have a bachelors degree in psychology and have recently completed the prerequisite courses required for medical school,however...after all of this work I really just want to be a nurse. Everyone always pushed me towards med school but I think I could make more of an impact as an RN right now in my life. What types of programs should I be looking at? Will I be able to complete the coursework in less time because of all of the schooling I have already completed? Or if there are courses that I might need to take again? | Re: Help with schooling It really depends on the school of nursing you plan on attending. If you're not sure, I would contact academic advisers at several different schools, and see what they have to say, then make your decision from there.

| Re: Help with schooling I would think you would be a good candidate for a second degree nursing program, which typically is an accelerated program and can be completed in two years or less. Good Luck!
