book list for asn program at excelsior college

I am trying to help my daughter with her books, as a surprise, for the asn program at excelsior college. I need an up to date book list for all of the books needed for the nursing courses as well as general ed courses that any of you have taken and passed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: book list for asn program at excelsior college

Given the nature of textbooks in nursing education, and changes being made year-by year, I would recommend logging on to their site at:

http://excelsior.edu

Give them a call at the number listed on their site, and they should be able to give you a list as well as where to purchase the textbooks.

Btw, that is a really thoughtful thing you are doing for your daughter. In the stress filled environment of nursing school, something like this can take a huge load off of your shoulders.

Hope that helps.

Red face Re: book list for asn program at excelsior college

Thank you for your reply. I attempted the excelsior program a few years ago, and took/passed all of the required exams for general ed credits as well as the nursing exams prior to actually registering with the then "Regents" program. It saved quite a bit of money on fees, etc. That is what I hope to help her with now. Thus, the question regarding a book list. Is there anyone that has recently passed the program who would know what books they used for what exam? Also, back then, I took alot of ACT exams to fill the required credits. Are they still available, or is it just the excelsior exams or CLEP, Dantes? It seems, even if purchasing used books, with exams prices, this will be soooo expensive.
