Hi I'm new in here. In the Vrp in PA, had a hot urine test in Feb. and apparently forgot to call in one day and now i can't work as a nurse any comments? I have been in it since june 07 and had one slip up but they count the urine test and the no call as two offenses.

Re: VRP sucks Did they tell you how long you were suspended for. The CA progran took me off work for a + Etg until I had 3 clean randoms. It ended up being about 10 days. I used PTO so it didn't cost me and My work is extremely Diversion friendly so they just treated it as if I was on Vacation. I am in transition now with 6 months left to go. It actually turned out to be a good thing I spent a lot of time with my dad who was dying and realized that everything happens for a reason in God's time not ours. So try not to focus resentment on VRP and look for the message your higher power is sending to you. Remember this too shall pass. Peace and Namaste Hppy

Re: VRP sucks Hi thanks for your reply. They did not tell me how long, it is all very vague and its like pulling teeth to get any straight answers. all my casemanager said was that she needed to review it with her superviser and that it would probably be "a couple months" before I can go back to working as a RN again. The only good thing is my boss is letting me work as an aide until I can work again as an RN. My wife and I have a nine day old son at home and I took two weeks vacation because he was born, so i'm just dreading going back and trying to think of what to tell my colleagues as to why I'm working as a tech, you know? Anyway, I have been sharing about it at meetings and with my sponsor. I just want this to be behind me
