    Exclamation Traveling With A Family

    Hi all,

My name is Wendy. My husband is a nurse and considering traveling. Does anyone travel with their whole family?, home schooling the kids? How has this worked for your family?

My children are 7 and 12. Any input would be greatly appreciated. My husband and I would like to make a decision, but would like to hear input from people that have actually lived the life.

    Thanks in advance.

    Wendy

    Hi,

I am a RN and traveled with my hubby, 12 year old daughter and 5 Chihuahua's! I have been lucky and have always had really long assignments. I just left from an assignment that was 1.5 years, and the one before that was 9 months. My daughter has attended the regular schools in the areas that we lived in. She was really shy when I first started traveling but the experience of changing schools really brought her out of her shell. She is now much more outgoing and said she really enjoyed going to the 2 different schools.

I have stopped traveling for now b/c I think she needs more stability during her adolescent years. We plan to start traveling again when she goes off to college because we really enjoy it! I think the travel experience worked out great for our family!

    Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply. We are going to try the travel nursing & hope that he is able to stay in the metroplex that we live in for a while.

Thanks again and God Bless You,
