| I was just sitting here wondering if anyone knows how the State of North carolina looks upon nurses in the diversion program. I won't be getting my license back for at least another 6 months, but my husband and I are looking to relocate to North Carolina sometime in the next year or so. Does anyone know if you can move to another state, and then continue the aftercare and diversion program in that new state? Let me know if any of you out there have any information regarding this. My state diversion program lasts 5 years(Nevada). I sure hope I can move before that???? |

| Re: Help Help Help Now!!! Hi dtgaup!, Yes, you can move to another state and enter their diversion program. While I can't help with specifiics I can tell you I have heard of people who have done it. My understanding is that, depending on the state, it may be quite a slow process. I think no matter where you go you may be looking at 3-5 years should you choose to complete diversion. I will finish California program in January; two months shy of 4 years. At my last DEC (diversion evaluation committee) meeting I met a nurse who completed 18 months in the North Carolina program then moved to California and CA considered it time served. |
