Frustrated with Urine Tests!

I'm just here to vent. I've been 100% compliant with my State's diversion program since entering it. But, I had a low creatinine in November and now another one last week. The Board case manager just called me to say they are going to test for ETG on my urine of last week. Not a problem, because I know I'm clean. It's just frustrating to try and time my urine's in any given day, around my schedule, so that they are concentrated enough. Anyone with similar experiences? Arghhhh....

Re: Frustrated with Urine Tests!

This is a topic very near and dear to me! From Oct. 2004 to July 2005 I had 4 'dilute' urines or 'out of range' creatinines. My problem was that I was testing on my lunch break; so, I would drink water so I could pee as soon as I got there and get back to work before my lunch break was over. The diversion program thought I was drinking and told me as much. I had to go to a nephrologist to provide evidence I was concentrating my urine and had no other health problems.
I know this sounds weird, but after I did this, I never had another dilute urine up to my completion of diversion on Jan. 24. What I would do is call the CVI number as soon as I got up, eat a can of tuna for protein and drink a big glass of milk about an hour before I tested. Then I would go test as early in the day as possible. I truly had to change my schedule to make testing the number one priority for that day, but it worked and paid off in the end!

Keep up the good work; you'll make it!
