Hi all,
I'm fourty-six years old and have only been a LPN in long term care for two years, although I've been in health care my whole life starting out on my sixteenth birthday in a nursing home as a CNA and worked for the county health dept here for 10 years as an In Home Health CNA.
My children are grown now and it's just my husband and myself. I would dearly love to travel on short or long term assignments. My problem is that all I've ever done is long term care. I'd like to get different experience. I seriously doubt I could handle a fast paced hospital setting but would love to get either into Hospice or school nursing ( ha, I know that a pretty large spread).
Any advice for an old dog wanting to learn new tricks? I'd like for my first assignment to be driving distance to where I live now due to I'm trying to sell my houses, but after that i'm open to whatever.
Thanks,
Terry
