Any chance of Working again?

I had my license revoked in AZ. 8 yrs ago.I was a drinker, never used or diverted any drugs.I was placed on probation after someone smelled liquor on my breath, then I got a DUI on my way to my Dr. for serax to quit.

I've been sober now 19 months and I would really like to return to work but I guess it was a mistake to pick this as a profession.I got 2 more DUIS' since 2001 and the last one was considered a felony, I can get a C.R.D from the judge but I don't think the ASBON will even hear my case.I'm also licensed in another state but I don't want to go that route.

Seems a shame that I got myself together (even quit smoking 2-packs a day) and am unable to move forward with my life, also seems unreasonable to become a felon for something like DUI that never affected anyone else.

Anyone have any thoughts?, I think I might have more luck in my original state of licensure N.Y., I don't think this would have worked out this way had I stayed there.............Peace!

The Big Book tells us that we shall not regret the past nor wishtoclose the door on it!" My case is very similar to yours and Icompleted a diversion program and am working as a nurse again. No matter which state you decide to
live in you will most likely be placed on some kind of probabtion.

In California you generally go to te BON and ask for a Stay of revocation. Your practice is then monitored for 18 months to 5 years. he trick to completion is to stay sober and do exactly what the BON tells you to do no matter how unreasonable it sounds. You can and will work again.
