housing... how do you find it?

I'm wondering how housing is found by travel nurses?
I have been wanting to use my rental property for travel nurses but am not sure how to best have it avail. Just wondering.

You can always post it as a forum; providing information regarding number of rooms, furnished or unfurnished, what utilities are included, minimum monthly stay required if applicable, monthly rent, what you want your renters to be (male/female), smoker/non, pets allowed/no pets. Just have prospectives PM thru the forum site.

My husband is a traveller and it's my "job" to find housing for us and our 75pound mastiff/pitbull mix - not an easy task! I use the internet and the first place I always look is the online version of the local newspaper.

My husband and I have a rental home in Tucson, perfect for travelers. It is a Fully furnished, 3 bdrm, 2 bath home with pool and fenced yard. Utilities are provided, including DSL, local phone, and DirecTV. It is centrally located with quick access to local hospitals and is very private and quiet (great for night workers).

The dream rental home might be more than you bargained for. A local realtor says internet criminals have locked into her name and property in hopes of cashing in.

One particular house on Carraway Court is getting a lot of bites from possible tenants. There's a curious rental listing on the web site "Craig's List", where the owner -- Eva Steward -- claims to live in West Africa, asking $1000 a month for the six bedroom three bath unit. But it turns out the real Eva Steward is a long way from West Africa, she's a realtor right here in the Mountains.

Steward says someone's using her good name to scam people. They want a $500 deposit and personal information. "They want cashiers check. They want social security numbers," Steward tells News 13. "So they can ruin your credit and steal your money, create nothing but chaos in your life." So far, she's gotten calls from 9 people who saw the Craig's List ad -- warning her about what's happening.

Steward says she's asked Craig's List to remove false listings with her name on it. Steward thinks the same people put similar postings up regarding another rental property in Arden.

As someone mentioned post on craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums in apartment section and temporary housing. Make sure to post good photos and a good description and multiple contacts.

Also keep updating it to keep it current. You may want to have a link to a website showing calender availability.
