Want to become a nurse

I have just minor college credits right now and am thinking of a new career path. Right now I work full time 7-4:30 in computers and make fairly good money. I want to become a nurse but I cannot keep my job while doing the nursing classes. I do get MGIB benefits that would give me about 1 thousand dollars a month but trying to figure out with a wife and kids and being primary breadwinner how to accomplish this task. For a year I have wanted to do this but still afraid to make my family suffer for me. Another thing though since I am contracted to a company we found out that in september 2 of the 8 in our shop have to be releaved of duty. While I am not one of them every September we have to find out if the contract is continued or we loose it. That is alot of stress, and with kids I cannot afford to be without job totally. Any suggestions of guys who might have had similiar experience.
