So. Cal. Paramedic would like to become an RN

Hi all,
Nice forum! I like how active it is!~
I am a Paramedic in Southern California and wondered if there were any online or distance learning programs that assist those that are looking to become RN certified.
I have heard that Excelsior is no longer accepted in California, are there any others that anyone knows of?

Thanks in advance,

Tom McBride

I was a Medic in the Air Force during Desert Storm. I went to nursing school after I got back. I love the field and it is a great career choice. You already have an advantage (being a Paramedic) and maybe a disadvantage (being a Paramedic). I say go for it and imagine the possibilities. Do not forget to check out the Entrepreneur sections.

Man, I am not sure either, but best wishes and go for it, I would think you would have a leg up on all the other students.....When I got out of nursing school in 1980, I did not know what a vein LOOKED like! LOL

You are in luck. There are always ways to find information on programs in the area. Here is a listing of bachelor programs.. with the option to choose AA degree programs and the like. Good luck,
Hope this website helps
