Mornin', everyone! We got the predicted cool snap a bit early. No real biggie: the winds and thunderstorm last night were the problematic thing.

Hope all are you are doing well.....but whatcha up to? Anything wonderful? What about you students? Anyone close to graduation?

I woke up this AM (well Sat. AM anyway) to a light dusting of SNOW on the ground and quite chilly winds again! It had been up to nearly 80 degrees on Wednesday and the temp had been dropping since then. We'd had a good amount of rain on Thursday and Friday; but this SNOW wasn't fun. It was gone by about 2PM; but you've got to love our "theater of seasons" here in MN to live here!

It's been a very long winter this year.

PS. Being new to this bulletin board I'm still trying to figure stuff out here. This is my first time finding Off Topic I think. Do you make a new thread for each day of the week??

Welcome, Jenny! Yes, there is a new daily thread each day- just for everyone to say "hi", talk about plans for the day, weather, etc...

I agree, the end of April is NOT snow weather at all! Yuck. I wonder how bad Cook Co. MN. got hit (as opposed to Cook Co. IL). Family joke there.....

As for the Daily Thread, I usually start it, but there are a few times someone else starts it.

I just heard from a friend that they had 17 inches of snow by both Bemidji, MN (near Itasca State Park, the headwaters of the Mississippi River); and 17 inches by Detroit Lakes, MN (east of Fargo, ND) but *only* 6 inches of snow by Duluth (which is southwest of Cook County).

I am SO GLAD I moved south (from northern MN) so many years ago!
