Re: A question for the experienced

I'll never forget the day shift when a physician threw a stapler and hit a female nurse in the head.....she did file charges but nothing really happened to the doc......as far as I know he still works there......everyone was terrified of this guy.......people "shook" when he walked on the floor.......I agree with the other posts in here.......I never took any crap from him and he never bothered me......I also did my job as a professional and although he never said as much I think he respected me for it......does the fact that I am a "big" male help.....sure it does but I know female nurses who know their job and they "usually" aren't picked on by the docs.......some docs are like dogs.....if they smell fear in you they go for the jugular........

Re: A question for the experienced

cammer excellent post, "find a man who loves his job and you've found the wealthiest man alive no matter what his paycheck says"

RP, couldn't agree more, there are obviously people out there who are just rude and ignorant, but in general if you are professional and knowledgeable in your job, wise enough to admit what you don't know and respectful to others then you gain the respect of all of your colleges no matter what profession!
