Male Nurses...

The intent of this Male Nurses Forum is not to divide the nursing profession between genders. The nursing profession is rewarding, yet challenging with many obstacles. Yes, nursing is a female-dominated profession. I appreciate my female colleagues and all they have done in the progression of a better profession. No more are nurses mere handmaidens to crusty old doctors. Nurses are far more autonomous than year's past and are an essential component to the healthcare team.

Let us use this forum as a way to promote the nursing profession to men, and to the ultimate goal of nursing becoming a non-gender bias career field.
