Re: Is 37 to old to work on a nursing degree

No, 37 is not too old to begin a new career in nursing. I returned to college at 46 to become a psychiatric nurse. At least 1/3 of the people in my class were in their late 20's up thru their mid to late 30's. We even had 4 LPN's in their 50's doing the LPN to RN bridge program. Remember the 30's are the new 20's.
Good luck,

Re: Is 37 to old to work on a nursing degree

I am 34 and just getting started on my Nursing career after working in banking for over 12 years. I am starting a CNA course in 2 weeks and then I am entering an LPN program in August. I am glad I waited until I was a bit older as now I feel I am more capable of handling the pressures of Nursing. I plan to have my BSN by latest 40 years old and I can't wait!

Re: Is 37 to old to work on a nursing degree

When I was in nursing school the ages ranged from early 20's to even 50's. So 37 is not to old to work on a nursing degree. Keep your head up and good luck.
