Re: Need help picking a company... Hi , I work for Cross Country. never had any problems. I think a lot of your success depends on your recruiter. If you Decide to go with Cross Country, Ask for Terry Burde , She is the best. Tell her you were referred by Deborah Williams. Best of luck, Deb ![]()

I have not worked for the other companies that you have names, but I do work for Core Medical Group. I know that all companies have some problems, and you hear a lot of bad things about different companies. Core has been wonderful to me and to the woman who got me into traveling. I have a wonderful recruiter (Kristen Berube) who has become a good friend since I have been traveling. They have always gotten my housing in gated communities and in good areas for my daughter who travles with me. She will call just to make sure that everything is going alright, and if there are any problems, she is on top of them immediately. They have a person on call 24 hours a day and if there is a problem, call them. They call back, fix the problems if possible (like when my refrigerator died at one assignment) and they do follow up calls as well. They actually got the apartment complex to reimburse me for most of the food that I lost. I have not had any problems finding assignments. I tell them what state I want to visit and she pulls up a list of the different areas that have openings. Their pay is very comparable with most of the other companies, and better in some areas and they have great insurance that starts from day 1. The woman who got me into traveling left Core earlier this year to try another agency, and she only stayed 1 assignment with that company and then came back. Plus, they give you an all expense paid vacation once a year to a resort, airfare included by completing 4 assignments. I like that too. It doesn't hurt to call them, just ask for Kristen Berube when you do and she will talk with you and go over more options. ![]()

I can't say I've ever worked for any of the companies but I CAN suggest another for you to check out. It's on the web at and you can look around if you want without having anyone call you on the phone. If you like what you see, then fill out their application form online. Then select the recruiting company(ies) you WOULD like to connect with. They will distribute your application to them all for you - saving you much time and trouble. Best of luck, jimhock | |

Re: Need help picking a company... The first company I traveled with was the best; Continuos Care Solutions. Give them a call. Good pay and excellent recruiters. Tell them Anna G referred you. I worked in Havre, MT. On the other hand, watch out for Core. Myself and 2 other nurses got messed over BAD in Rhode Island.

After researching company after company I have several on the top ten list! Nurses in Partnership is great. Jane is a great recruiter! They are number one on Highway Hypodermics! Travel Nurse Across America, Jody being pretty good too! Michael at Staffing Medical is good too! I advise you to research companies using the reviews here. Apply and get a good one! There are so many out there, but so few that really deliver! ell them Alex sent you, they will do right by you. Traveling can be fun and work, but your recruiter is the best friend you have so choose wisely and with care. Not all of them live up to what their ads say! If I can be of help please do not hesitate to contact me. Alexandria
