| Fastaff Alright so I'm sick and tired of shopping around for agencies, I'm just picking one and going for it! Fastaff! Highest Pay, good benefits, fine. I can always switch right? They seem to be more of a short-term "crisis" agency... Does this mean the hospitals I'm gonna go to are pretty much guaranteed to have poor conditions?? I'm pretty sure thats what it is, and thats why they pay you more.. Any input is appreciated! Especially from nurses currently travelling w/them! Thanks!

| Re: Fastaff Just be careful- don't rush into picking an company just because you're "sick of shopping around." You can switch companies if you're not happy with them, but not until you contract is over.... Make sure your recruiter is someone you feel comfortable with, and get EVERYTHING in writing. Make sure you understand how their pay works- is the dollar amount they gave you your final take-home rate, or will they be taking housing off of that? What type of travel reimbursement do they give? License reimbursement? Will you have to pay for medical/dental insurance, and when does it start? Life insurance? 401k? Malpractice insurance? Make sure you have found out about ALL of this stuff before settling on a company.

| Re: Fastaff Yeah I know what you mean.. I'm pretty confident in them. I've been reading reviews and comparing agencies for a good 3 months (off and on when i get the chance)... Those are good suggested questions to ask about... the more research I do, the more I learn how the system works, and the better I can prepare for the right questions to ask and things to clarify... I just can't wait to START! I've been waiting 2 years for this!

| Re: Fastaff Fastaff is a mess! They short you on guaranteed shift pay and hope you don't catch it, and they flat out lie about their travel. Watch your hours, checks, bonuses, everything with them, it sounded to me that my recruiter was powerless to resolve the problems that they had with my pay, and she had to take it right to the top, that took a few days, not good when I was on the road and counting on the money. |
