supspeneded imposition of sentence

I had a suspended imposition 13 years past. I have been a nurse for 7 years.
With the fingerprint requirements the SIS will show up. How do I get a Lisence in another state that requires Finger prints? How does one explain something 13 years ago that he was not guilty of but did not have the money to fight it in court so he plead nolo condendere?
If any one has advice please let me know.

I guess it would all depend on what the charges were- whether it was considered a violent offense, was drug-related, etc... At this point a board of nursing is not going to care if you tell them you weren't guilty- they will only look at the fact that you plead no contest.
