Need help find CNA program

I have recently moved to Florida. I am considering a career in nursing. I have 2 family memebers who are RN's. I know it will take a few years of school to become a RN. Since I just moved to Florida I am not eligible for goverment aid for one year. I am searching for a CNA program that will help me finacially. I've heard of some companies that will pay for your training and then you have to work for them after certification. I have searched all over the web for such a company but cannot locate one. Is there anyone out there that could direct me to such a company? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try one of the local hospitals, nursing home, or community college. One of them might be able to help you.

Re: Need help find CNA program

Some nursing homes & hospitals do their own in-house training even. Whatever you do don't sign up for one of those private "career college" things - they're a rip off! You know the kind I mean right-- the company that charges several thousand bucks to teach you to be a MA or Nurse's aid etc... just do what WR suggests & call local nursing homes. Best wishes!
