i need advice for my son

My son is from african american decent, he has been sick for the past three days with a fever off and on, vomitting, isatiable thirst, and now has a lump that he says is painful in the middle of his spine, on his lower back. it looks a liile bruised, but he hasn't come off the couch to hurt himself in three days. He is also only almost 4 years old, so can't really tell me detail about what is going on. Is this something serious, should i take him to the emergency room, he has a doctor but i don't like her, or her advice, she was wrong both times i took him to her, what do i do???? I am very worried!!

Re: i need advice for my son

I'm not a nurse, but I'm a mother and I would take my son to the ER especially if he has been vomitting for 3 days.
Either that or get him to another pediatrician.

Re: i need advice for my son

I would seek help at the local ER ASAP. Children and elderly can dehydrate quickly and if he's vomiting and fevered he may become dehydrated despite your efforts. I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't dare diagnose all his symptoms but there is definatly something going on. Please go to the hospital.
