Help with Nursing License

I am looking for advice regarding my nursing license. I would like to fight sanctions that will be put on my license in the state of Michigan. I was fired from a hospital on trumped up charges because I did not get along with my manager. I would like to fight these charges but I am currently unemployed and do not have money for a lawyer. I feel these charges will make me unemployable. I would appreciate any advice about how to fight these charges or if anyone has experienced this.

Re: Help with Nursing License

Hello John,

Your license is your ticket to long-term employment, whether you can afford to pay a lawyer or have to mortgage your home, I'd get the money to pay a lawyer.

Once the state board of nursing finds out you have an experienced attorney on your side, they may change their attitude very quickly.

You want an attorney there every step of the way, at every hearing, meeting you're supposed to have with the State Board.

You might be able to find a referral here:

The American Association of Nurse Attorneys:"TAANA serves as a resource network and support group for nurse attorneys and educates the public on matters of nursing, health care, and the law."
