So, when I was in Seattle, I met another travel nurse that had used a Contract Negotiator/Agent that represented her to multiple travel companies at one time and she got the job she wanted, doubled her pay per week (take home pay) and the agent takes care of the recruiters for you as a service so you don't have to hear from them. Your contact is the agent/negotiator who doesn't call and pester you. So, I tried it and she was right! I'm now in Fresno, CA. making 1800 per week net vs. 1000 per week net from medical express in seattle. There are other perks that come with using an agent that just turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. I will never go back to dealing directly with the travel companies. Why should I? I get paid a hell of a lot more and without the hassle of dealing with them directly.
I think that the idea of a negotiator/agent is a new thing and so word of mouth is my particular agent's advertisement.
Anyway, I've been so thrilled about it that I've just wanted to share with other travelers out there who I know have had issues with travel companies like I have. We should all be in this together.
