|  Ethical- signing another's initials to MAR I have a coworker who was placed on 3 day suspension due to her cosigning another person's initials on insulin checks. The policy calls for a nurse to have another nurse or a TMA double check any insulin drawn up b/4 administering. Not only was the nurse not having someone else double check her insulin but she was signing the initials on one of our TMA's on the MAR. Our D.O.N. told her it would be reported to the State Board of Nursing but that she would let them know that the nurse in question did admit to doing this & has accepted the suspension. This coworker has asked me to see if anyone knows what the possible consequences would be w/ the State Board of Nursing. |
