| Can Anyone Help? Please! Hi Ya'll, I just recently graduated with a BSN from LNU in the Philippines (Lyceum Northwestern U), but finished the LPN course from Savannah Technical College, in Savannah, GA in 1998. I have two young children, both American citizens, a girl, Eunice 6, and Doug Philip 3. My question is this: how do I go about getting employment in the States? I have just recently passed the Board exams here in the Philippines and am trying to go to Saipan for the NCLEX-RN exams but running into some "snags" one of which; the examiners wants me to pay the $80 fee but requiring it in US currency (MO or Check) and I have no way of getting either one of them. Has anyone been in such situation? could you give me some advise? Thanks for helping this young nurse trying to get on in this world/society. Evangeline |

| Re: Can Anyone Help? Please! Evangeline... I don't have any idea what you'd need to do to take the NCLEX in Saipan. Is there any way to arrange for funds (money order) in US currency through your bank?? If you can't arrange the NCLEX isn't it possible that you might be able to get in touch with a US Hosoital that might sponsor you to come here to work for them as an LPN at least? The idea being to get here so you could then take the NCLEX here in the states if you're eligible to & then your employer could employ you as an RN. Before you could take the NCLEX wouldn't you need your CGFNS Certificate? Here's info about that (and the NCLEX) - http://medi-smart.com/cgfns.htm Hope it helps.. Sara |
