| First of all I'm a nurse who posts here often so I'm not looking for medical advice just an idea of what to expect with this disease I do labor & Delivery, psych and addiction treatment - but I don't know much of anything about cancer. My dad had colon cancer that was treated with surgery and chemo last year. Treatment seemed to go well and initial follow-ups showed no return of the cancer. Just this week he went in for a follow-up and they found Bone mets. He (dad) said he was told there's not much they can do. He's not really interested in more Chemo and I respect his decision. What I really would like to know is whats the progression for a pt who refuses anything but palliative care, are we talking months or years? Of course I'm going to be doing a lot of reading on this topic in the next few days. Any info would be appreciated hppy |
