| Any males believe they are a victim of gender bias in nursing? typically, this is very subtle. Not the best schedule, quick to go to supervision about perceived problems, the worst assignments repeatedly, etc., Anyone out there? |

Dear Third, I get your drift but cannot see in my personal experience where gender bias has occurred. Honestly, I have frequently been called to help with lifting but I view this as using an available resource because I happen to be very strong, not exploiting me because I'm a male. Additionally, I am frequently called upon for my expertise in pulmonary medicine which I view as making good use of available resource as well. R | |

| Re: Any males believe they are a victim of gender bias in nursing? I am not a male nurse but I just wanted to say that from what I have seen so far, male nurses are treated without bias. Many female nurses like having male nurses on the unit and usually say that they are easy to get along with...less mean and "catty" than the female nurses. |
