Please Help

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I will be going to nursing school and want to be a maternity ward nurse very badly. Do you have to have a Bachelor's degree to work in there, or will an Assocaiate's do? If one can work in the maternity ward with an Associate's degree, what types of things are you allowed to do? Thanks so much!!!!!

Re: Please Help

Hi there,

You can work in L & D with a BSN or an ADN, I think some places you can even have and LPN. With a BSN and an ADN - they take the same liscensing exam the NCLEX-RN. The exact same exam. An ADN RN does the same thing as a BSN-RN when it comes to staff nursing. Hope this helps!
