| Nusring student having problems Help! Is there any other nursing student out there who is having a time making the grade? I feel like the only one. I have always wanted to be a nurse and am a Freshman working towards my BSN, but failed the BIO210 (Anatomy and Physiology). No summer classes in my rural area for this course. And I feel like I worked my butt off!!! |

| Super Moderator | Re: Nusring student having problems That has to be frustrating. If it is anything like mine, in A/P one, we had to memorize all the bones, muscles, structures. It was boring and absolutely no fun at all for me. The good news is A/P two is more concepts and ideas. They come easier for me. Best I can say is take the class as soon as you can over again, get some good study partners and be done with it. Most textbook publishers have study guides that will help you. If it seemed like you had too much on your plate, maybe you would do better to take fewer classes next semester. Just a thought. You can find some helpful resources here: http://www.4nursingstudents.com Andrew Lopez, RN http://www.nursinga2z.com |

| Junior Member | Re: Nusring student having problems I agree with andrew because the one thing that helped me the most through A/P was my study group. We met twice a week and just studied like crazy.....before my study group I had a C in the class...needless to say I ended up with an A all due to my study group I think. I also made out notecards to study from. I found that writing it all down then studying helped tremendously. Good luck and keep your chin up! |

| Re: Nusring student having problems hey, ive just finished a diploma in Beauty therapy, which half the study is anatomy and physiology. I pretty much had to learn all the bones and muscles etc..and i find the best way to do well in learning them is study and test yourself over and over again. Its hard to remember the names and terminology when they cram so much info in your head.Eventually, your head will find a place to store what you learn, and will become a lot easier for you.I have printed up a chart of the human Body labeling the muscles and bones, and stuck it up on my wall, so when i'm at home its there for me to learn. I will be doing my BScN next year at curtin Uni too.so you arn't alone, and when you feel you are struggling, let it push And motivate you more. |
