Absolutely not. Get a lawyer and contact the state board with your problem. I can believe some hospitals would do that!! Good luck
I recently lost my job at the hospital in which I have worked for the last 5 years. The reason was "diverting drugs", which was not happening, but I could not prove it. There were several discrepancies noted, and it looked bad. I probably was a little sloppy in documenting, but I was not diverting drugs. At the meeting wherein I was terminated I was told "Just admit that you have a (drug)problem. You'll be able to keep your job here. You will have to get treatment, but you'll keep your job". At a couple of points I just thought, "Hell, tell them that you have a problem, and keep your job". Finally I told them that I couldn't admit to a problem that I didn't have, so I was terminated. They did not offer me a drug test. I'm not so worried about the job since the manager that I've been working under for the last year has always seemed to have personal problems with me anyway. My question is this; Can I lose my license on the grounds of this evidence?
