Congratulations those years will go by quickly enjoy your summer
Hi everyone! Some of you may remember me as I used to post here and visit here often. I have been trying to get into a program for the past year and have debated everything from going to LPN school and then going career mobility, going straight through BSN school everything, you name it! I've been working on the first two years of my BSN since last May hoping maybe that I could get lucky and get in the 2 year nursing program at my school instead. I always knew that my chances of getting into the BSN program at the nearby University were better because they are a GPA based entrance and the 2 year RN program is a first come, first serve program. Well, Tuesday I got the call. I'll finally start clinicals in August and I'll graduate in May of 06! It should be fairly easy to get my BSN when I am done since I already have 46 credits of my Pre-Nursing AA completed. I'm excited though, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel..ask me again when I am knee deep in Nurs Process I and I bet I will think that the light has just disappeared! I just wanted to post here and see if there are any others that are starting their program soon. I have orientation on Monday. Our schedule for Nursing I will be 2 days of 5 hours at the hospital and 2 days of 6 hour lectures and one of the lecture days has a 2 hour seminar that teaches technique, etc. If any of you have just completed nursing I and are interested in selling your books, don't hesitate to contact me. I always buy books online! Hope everyone here is doing well in school and is GLAD to see another semester end! WooHOO!

The way that I look at it is this: If I survived 4 years in the Navy and one stint of 159 days straight at sea without a port, I will survive nursing school! (Hope I don't eat those words!!)

I spent almost 8 years in the Marines from boot camp to survival school and went to OCS in the Army. Nursing school was the hardest thing I ever did. I guess due to the length of time it took. It made me hate school. But all and all it was the best thing I ever did with my live.
Hehehehe. Didn't anyone ever tell you almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades... OMG I couldn't help myself..JK![]()
