    Red face ~~interview questions?~~

What kind of questions do they typically ask during a travel interview? I've only had one that was the most horrible thing in the world! My friend and I interviewed with the same lady and my questions were things I've never heard of before. My friends questions were reasonable and I totally could've answered them.
I've been in ICU for just over 2 years and will be taking a travel assignment in ICU as well.
Just wondering what other nurses have experienced in way of interviews. I was blown away by the one that I had. Supposed to be having another one later this week.
    HELP!
    Thanks so much!!!

What kind of questions were asked? Did it become an issue of sexual harassment? If they were, I would report this person to their administration. With an inappropriate attitude, this recruiter can be losing potential quality nurses for their company>

I have been a travel nurse for a few years and normally just get asked about my experience, what shift I would be willing to work and if I am expected to take call. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I have only had a few interviews, but they pretty much only asked about my experience and certifications. The rest was them telling me about the unit, asking if I was interested and when I wanted to start.

I've only done a couple of phone interviews and found them a little "odd" but I don't know. Mostly I have been asked about my experience, whether I'm familiar with this or that patient population, procedure, etc. Probably the most interesting question that comes up is about why I want to work at their particular facility. What am I supposed to say? It's the only contract available right now? I live locally to where I travel and I suppose it looks strange to the nurse managers. My real reason for doing it is the freedom it gives me and the not having to go to all those mandatory staff meetings, inservices, etc. I make good money, go to work and leave it all there on my days off. So far I love it. It has its drawbacks but overall I wish I had done this a long time ago. I didn't particularly like my last assignment, to say the least!, but it's over and time to move on again. I love it!

My phone interviews have been short and sweet. The managers ask if I am comfortable working in a large teaching facility and then they tell me what to expect when I am working on the unit. I had one manager say she saw my profile and didn't need to ask any questions, just wanted to know my start date. Travel interviews are so much better than floor staff interveiws.
