| Well, I'm 21 years old now and starting to think maybe it's time I did something with my life other than work miminum wage. My friend was telling me that you can get your CNA was easily and quickly, but my question is, is this actually a good job? From what I understand you mainly clean up after people all day...does it really pay that well? I'm really not good at Math or Science, this has strayed me away from trying a degree in nursing in the past. Is an LPN a degree that's very hard to get either? Any information on either would help, it'd be nice to get some feedback from someone whose been there!:39: |

My LPN program was a year long one. Yeah, you need to know some math (no Calculus needed!); as for science.....Anatomy and Physiology is a core class. Good luck, and keep us posted on your journey. 'Cat'

CNA is not bad to start off with. It does involved cleaning up after people but sorta depends which department you are in. Today, I officially failed out of LVN school. It's totally not a bad idea if you want to get your CNA license and start off that way. And also..honestly CNA's are underpaid and should get paid for what they do..but unfortunaly they don't. | |

| Re: CNA or LPN? I think all the previous posts are really helpful, but if you would like some more consolidated information, check out these articles: http://www.nursingprograms.com/nursi...nt-certificate, http://www.nursingprograms.com/licen...ractical-nurse. I'll think you'll find them to be very informative and helpful, at least I hope so. Good luck. |
