Question for nurses with 25+ years of experience

Hi
My name is Christina and I am a nursing student. I am currently working on a group project in which we were assigned to "develop" a way to teach nurses who recap needles after giving an injection to no longer do that. We were instructed to gather information specifically from nurses who have been practicing for over 25 years. We need to gather data for the project and so I would like to include a survey for you to fill out if you wish to participate. You can answer the questions in a message to me if you wish to not have everyone reading your answers. Thanks to all who participate!!!!!

Do you recap needles after giving an injection?

If so is it because....
you were taught that way
you feel it is safer
it has become a habit
other

If recapping after injection is a practice for you, do you feel that altering your habit would benefit you?

Thanks to all who participate!!!!

Re: Question for nurses with 25+ years of experience

I see there are quite a few views but no responses...so i am going to change my question a bit cuz im pathetically desperate for feedback lol....

If you are a nurse practicing in Canada you can fill this out but just give the amount of years you have been working as a nurse. That way I can compare and say that nurses who have not been practicing for over 25 years also have issues with this habit, or, that the majority do not have an issue with recapping at all. Again, you are most welcome to just private message me. I won't be using this against you whatsoever. I just need statistics for this project.
