| Best ACLS book? thoughts please in May 2005 Im going to be taking the ACLS course at baystate medical center. I am a telemetry nurse over at Franklin medical center, and to be honest with you, I am a little intimadated by the acls course. Ive been a nurse for a year and a half, basic telemetry trained. Meds that I have personaly given to patients are iv lopressor, cardizem, no iv nitro, but of course sublingual. I understand protocol for treating MI, and the reasoning behind it. Before I take this course I want to read a book that will help me understand all the protocals for ACLS, and some pathology. I have a basic understanding already, but I want to know more. With so many books out to choose from, finding the right one is a tough choice. If some of the more knowledgable nurses could share with me what they feel would be good choices... I would appriciate it. Thank you Cheer's! Michael Perkins |
