As ya'll may, or may not know I am deployed to Iraq for at least 12, and most likely 15 months. Our FOB [Forward Operating Base] is facing a serious water shortage. Plus, our PX is incredibly small. I would greatly appreciate a care pkg. with baby wipes, eyeglass cleaner, disposable air fresheners, individual powder drink packets, body powder [Shower to Shower/Sport], unsalted almonds, or unsalted trail mix. BTW, I have plenty of sunscreen.

My wife has been great at sending me stuff. However, she works full-time as a GS RN at Madigan Army Medical Center. I hate to keep bugging her and this seperation D/T deployment has been real tough on her.

Talk about groveling! The package juuuust went into the convoy truck this afternoon, Mag. Set me back a little, but will send something else when I get a chance. Package from DH and I; enjoy!

Much thanks & appreciation goes out to John & Sue [A.K.A. Cougarnurse & her DH]. I opened the care pkg. this morning. I have know idea when it arrived. LOL, our mail clerks better not apply for a civilian postal job some day.

Cat; the sweets, waterless hand cleaner, etc. brought a smile to my face and please relay John my thanks, too.

The company grade officers are in two-person Pods for sleeping quarters. Think of a Pod similar to the small metal portable buildings at construction sites. So, I share my care pkg. goodies with my room-mate.
