Hello from the Sandbox!

I thought I'd say HI & let ya'll know I'm doing fine over here in Iraq on my 15 month deployment. I've seen & heard [first hand] things that have really opened my eyes, heart, and mind about where I'm at, and more importantly about my friends & loved ones back in the great U.S. of A.

Please, remember ALL of us [American troops] that are on foreign soil so far away from home... cause we are just doing our job!

Thanks,
Captain Barrett, Cary James

Hello from the Sandbox!

Hey, glad to know you are still with us...if not physically on the site, at least mentally. Pop in and keep us posted when you can.

I really do appreciate the kind words. I must admit to being a little disappointed that more have not replied to this thread. I realize everyone is very busy in there own daily activities, nor does the world revolve around me. However, whether one agrees with the current Bush Administration on our foreign policy regards to Iraq is not as important as remembering the troops.

Military nurses are awesome! As are all the other soldiers, I might add. Just found this posting today, so hope it's not too late to reply. Keep yourselves safe out there in the land of sand and bullets!!!

Hey Mag, you and your troops are thought of and prayed over more than you will ever know. We do appreciate what you are doing and what you are enduring over there. Sometimes people, including myself, wanting to be supportive but unsure on what to write. Thank you is what is in our hearts. I read a lot of your posts. I look forward to reading about what it is like to be an army nurse,,,,did I read correctly on one post that your wife is also an army nurse. Do you get to be in the same unit? I just pray that you both come home safely and look forward to reading your posts.

ps. please do not feel forgotten because your post is not getting response. We're out here with our hands in the air, raising them up for prayer. God bless you all.

Hey Mag

Glad you are well! We're at home this week and our flag is flying proud in honor of this great country and the men and women who serve to keep it that way!
