I completed LPN school way back in 1994, failed my boards and never retook them...According to the state of Ohio all I have to do is retake the boards to obtain my LPN now as they have my transcripts from school....Im sure I would want (or be required) to take a couple refresher courses prior to working as an LPN but Im really concerned if I can even pass the boards now since I couldnt pass them back then...they were not on computer back in the day...any advice for me?

I would check into that more. I know that the state of TN requires you to take your boards within 2 years of completion of your program (RN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT, CNA, PA, RRT, CRT, etc), or else you have to repeat the course.

The entire course? wow!! The state of Ohio isnt saying anything like that. I have asked several people and there seems to be no restrictions.

"Applicants who completed the course of study more than ten (10) years prior to the date of application to write the examination shall be considered for eligibility to initially apply to write the examination in Tennessee only on an individual basis. "
