    Student Nurse

I'm in my first semester of the LPN program and have just finished my 4th week of clinicals. I have 6 kids 3 of whom are still at home, and a rather unsympathetic husband. (he says "Hey we've all been there it's your turn to pay your dues.") The classes are fine it's the clinicals that make me feel as though I will never again in my life do anything right. (My husband says now your catching on!)

    I did not.
We all have been through the meat grinder in our own way. I am here for my wife and any other student that needs help, this I offer if I am able. sometimes I don't comment due to lack of a pertinent knowledge base on a given subject. but I will always offer my shoulder to cry on if it is needed.

P.S. Some lessons are best learned the hard way.(unfortunately)

 Am I in trouble for that one or what?

Welcome to the site, 'wife'! Glad to have you with us.

It's nice to see another couple who has the same way of interacting. Gets pretty wild here. He must believe in you, though!

Orionswife, you have a great guy there; in addition to the support I know he'll give you, we'll be here for you, too. Yeah, clinicals can be something else.....

Yes he's pretty special. My husband and I have figured out that it's less frustrating for both of us if I study then discuss the topics with him. If he tries to teach it to me he tends to overwhelm me with to much information, but if I have a basic grasp of the topic I am studying then the extra information he gives me help me to see things from a broader perspective and it sticks better. Some of the girls I have classes with even call me to talk to him now and then to pick his brain so to speak.

We have a pretty good relationship going for us, the only draw-back to helping her study is when she goes to school after struggling to compleat an asignment that took most of the "sapp" out of MY brain and hers and changes the answers to what her classmates have when they review notes befor class. Guess who gets the blame for her getting the answer wrong? (go on guess)(thats correct, it's me)

Now after helping her with FINDING the answers after hours upon hours of pulling out what little hair I have left she dosn't change her answers, when she does  (bet you can guess what happens).

Her class mates call often enough that it keeps me on my toes, I dont cringe when the phone rings (much).

In all seriousness I do enjoy helping them out, and it keeps me sharp too. They (the ones who call) are very nice, and I think they will make great Nurses.

:33:The only thing I wonder about is where to send the bill for all the tutoring?
