Cool Re: how long does it take??

You can apply for work with what you have. Prospective employers can verify your certification online, by phone, or by fax. Good luck in getting one of those jobs!

Re: how long does it take??

well, unfortunatly It took the Florida Health Dept. over 3 weeks to get my information posted (which Prometric told me it would be posted within 24 hrs) . all postions I spoke about have been assigned to other people, and 1 employer even wished me luck as I was a prime candidate for their position, but couldn't varify my info on 3 tries. Its very possible the other 2 had similar outcomes... pretty bummed out and discouraged jobs are real hard to come by...

If I were you, I would write a letter to them and let them know that their failure to act in a timely manner cost you those jobs. I can see there being a little bit of a time lag sending you a card or certificate in the mail, but the info should have been posted to the state database within hours of its creation. No excuse for this. Good luck finding work elsewhere.
